Police forces throughout the UK have been passed a photobank of people wanted by police in connection with the J18 Carnival Against Capitalism protest in London's Square Mile.
The move comes as part of Operation Enterprise, a post protest attempt by City of London police to recover some of their dented public image. Following the June 18 event, high level criticism from the likes of Eddie George (Governor of the Bank of England) over the police’s failure to protect one of the world’s busiest financial districts from anti-capitalists led to calls for the City of London force to be amalgamated with the Metropolitan Police.
Anyone keen to know whether they are on the wanted list should check out 72 photographs posted on the net at www.cityoflondon.gov.uk. [offline]
